Dawn Davis-Lim is a hand weaver, works with fibres, and creates visual art in Avoca, Victoria. She weaves under the business name Heritage Weaving and Visual Arts, and her work can be found on Instagram and Facebook @Heritageweaving, or she can be contacted directly at dawnlimvisualarts@gmail.com.

Come and meet Dawn. You will see how she works with the fibres of sheep’s wool and Alpaca Fleece. The finished product will delight you.
In her workshops, you can learn how to prepare the wool and spin into a working yarn. How to weave cotton or wool and learn how to cut and prepare your fabric for sewing.
Because of what she will be teaching you, you will be pleasantly surprised at how therapeutic and satisfying it is to make your own garments.
With time and patience once you get home after Dawns tutoring, you can achieve your desire to make and sew your garments with your own fabric. Follow up service with video questions and answers. Learn by coming for lessons or workshops at the store in the beautiful township of Avoca, with accommodation available in the Pyrenees Wine Region of Victoria, Australia. It is less than two hours drive from Melbourne.

We have a stock of yarns to choose from in store. Therefore, contact us to book a weaving workshop. An individual tuition workshop, starts at $150.00 AUD for 4 hours, and the price for a group of 4 starts at $500.00 AUD – 4hours.
